The experience of daily life varies across generations, from the extension out into the world by a child and retracting of sensory acuity in an aging body. The insatiable curiosity of a younger generation exists equal and opposite to the muscular atrophy and diluted perception of markings in time which progress noticeably with age. Despite differences in relative experience, a rich exchange between young and old is shared through the senses. Sensory experience both propels us forward and projects us back into our memory, creating an equilibrium between past experiences, present place and future trajectory. This project aspires to create an environment of multi sensory opportunity that is inclusive of all ages and experience. The activation of haptic, olfactory, auditory, visual and scent driven program, materials of varying porosity and the element of individual choice enables sensory experience to serve as the common ground between a disparate youth a senior population.
